Scottish Rite Children's Theatre Auditions

Audition notices for Children's Theatre shows are posted here throughout the year.
Auditions will be announced soon for an upcoming holiday children's show and the 2010 Season of children's programming.

Audition Requirements:

Prepare a short (1-3 minute) monologue. Actors may be asked to stay and read from the script.

Bring a current head shot and resume.

All positions are paid.

Most rehearsals held Thursday-Sunday at the Scottish Rite Theatre.

Saturday performances at 10:00 AM, Sunday performances at 2:00 PM

Actors will be asked to perform in two to four 10:30 AM weekday shows, generally on Wednesday and Thursdays.

Rehearsal & Performance Information

Rehearsals are typically 6-10 PM on some weekdays; occasional weekends

Rehearsals and performances are held at Scottish Rite Theatre

Two weekday morning performances are scheduled

Shows run approximately one hour

Actors are asked to stay after the performance to sign autographs

Write a Script We are interested in original scripts for our productions. Submit scripts either in electronic format to the Company Manager or mail to:

To submit a script, consider the following:

Plays must be one act, 45-60 minutes in length

Our target audience is 4-10 years of age

No more than 4 actors per show, double/triple casting is encouraged

Plays must be audience interactive and invite the children’s reactions
